The Challenge
The client demanded a fully custom solution with a dynamic configurator offering instant visual feedback and price calculations based on user selections. Off-the-shelf CMS platforms were either prohibitively expensive or too rigid. We needed to integrate multiple supplier feeds to fetch real-time inventory and pricing, support complex product variants and maintain top performance across devices
Our Solution
We built a headless Django backend exposing a REST API for product data, variants and pricing rules. On the frontend a React.js configurator uses Canvas and WebGL to render smooth 3D previews and update prices instantly. Supplier inventories sync via secure APIs and AWS Lambda functions handle data transformations. A built-in payment and order management system completes the end-to-end workflow without third-party CMS
